With our varied, extensive walking program you will explore spectacular coastlines with contrasting sheer black cliffs and azure seas, farmland and remote villages (including the stunning Barrarnco Del Masca) native laural woods, canarian pine forests, the Lake District and "Lunar" landscapes.
For the more enthusiastic walker we will walk to the top of the island's (and Spain's) highest mountain, the third largest volcano on Earth - Mount Teide (3718m- permits required). To aid acclimatisation we will explore Montana de Guajara (The Guanche Princess) at 2717m Tenerifes third highest mountain. The Teide National Park is listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site attracting four million visitors each year and home to a variety of flora and fauna. The rugged lava-streaked countryside is breathtaking, and has even been used as the location for many Wild West films!
In 2008 I successfully climbed Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa. I have been walking in Tenerife for over 15 years and I have put together a selection of the most scenic and diverse walks in different locations on the island. The walks are located in The National Park, The Teno Mountains in the north west and the Anaga Mountains in the North.
I have walks suitable for all grades of walkers in groups of 5 to 15. In the past 6 years I have led club walks varying in size from 2 to 24 walkers. As well as leading the walks I arrange your accommodation and transport on the island for the week. Accommodation is in private villas on a twin sharing basis in the south of the island about 10 minutes from the airport. After drinks each evening we head out to one of the local restaurants which are pre booked. Aer Lingus and Ryanair have flights from Dublin, Cork, Shannon, Knock, and Belfast into Tenerife South Airport on a weekly basis.
